On a recent visit to the South Island, I was lucky enough to see my second aurora australis (after a few previous nights out that failed to fire off). This one was really spectacular with dancing light rays visible without camera and some real ‘beam me up Scotty” moments. I’ve joined the growing number of kiwis completely addicted to chasing this amazing phenomena. Once you’ve seen a goody, you’ll be part of the club too!
