Everything about black-browed albatrosses is stunning – from their striking eyes, to their effortless soaring flight, to their elegant beautifully-choreographed courtship. Bowing, vocalizations, tender bill-fencing, tail displaying, and allopreening are all indications that love is in the air. Black browed albatrosses are monogamous and in it for the long haul, staying with the same mate from season to season and returning to the same nest site. I sat and watched them for hours.
