Yay for spring – tui on Kowhai

Spring has sprung in New Zealand and announcing its arrival is a profusion of bright yellow Kowhai flowers and a flurry of tui activity. The flowering season is short and competition can be fierce for the best golden treats. A much-needed boost to kick off the nesting season. The tuis look rather dapper in their black capes, blue tailcoats and fluffy white cravats.
